Twitter,
a micro-blogging site comes up with a unique feature for its users i.e. search
tweets between “particular date ranges”. So, now users can easily search the
past tweets of a particular date or from a particular person without going
through the entire results. Until now there was no through option for it, it
does have an option of advance search but it was not rigid to display limited
results.
To avail this feature what users needs to do
is, they can do a normal search and from that page they can click on “Advance
Search” provided at the left pane of the page, once they click on advance
search tab they will be redirected to the Advanced Search page. A screenshot is
attached below showing how the page will look like and also the date range
option is being highlighted in red. In this tab, users are given two options
“from” and “to” and also a calendar is connected with it so that you can select
the date ranges easily.
This feature is specifically beneficial for
those who want to search a tweet which was posted in the past, as now they can
easily search it using the recently added feature which makes the entire
searching procedure much easier.
Upto now users only have option to search a
tweet by particular people or place, but now this date range feature has made
the working of twitter much smoother. Users are really very happy and relieved
with the launch of this most awaited feature. It has been speculated that the
launch of this date range feature will now eradicate the arcane coding from the
searching options (since: until). However the feature to search posts via date
was present earlier as well but it was cumbrous procedure and was unknown to
large no. of users.
The recent announcement has put limelight on
mobile advertising product which is soon going to be launched by Twitter so
that app-makers can get their software downloaded by majority of people.
Twitter is also working on providing afresh profile design for IOS users. The
app is updated for few users which has the following new features like “Me” tab
is added at the bottom, Profile picture of users being shifted to left side
earlier it was on center, timeline has now two option (favorites as well as
titled images).
Nevertheless, these changes are available to
limited users; this newly redesigned app is yet to be rolled out for all iOS
users.
