8th April (Tuesday) Microsoft Support Bid Goodbye to Windows XP

Finally its 8th April, the day arrives when Windows XP users won’t be getting support from Microsoft anymore. Windows XP OS was released in 2001 and it was quoted by Microsoft that this OS version will work with all its product atleast for 10 years but in 2007, company decided to extended its working till 8th April 2014 because of its popularity among users.

It is estimated 8 out of 10 computers still using XP. Although there are users who still wants to continue using Windows XP as their Operating System but now Microsoft is no more responsible to provide any kind of support or technical assistance so these computers will be more vulnerable to cyber attacks/hacks. As earlier, Microsoft used to introduce security update every month to make sure everything is running smooth and to eliminate all the threats that might hamper the working of Windows XP.

It’s been speculated that hackers might have already find new ways to hack Windows XP computers but they would be waiting until Tuesday i.e. 8th April, because this is the day when Microsoft will officially stop providing any kind of support to XP, a security expert said. There would be around millions of computer under the threat of cyber attacks but Microsoft will no longer be available to queer those hackers from causing issues to XP OS.

However, as of now company is unable to give an exact figure of how many updates it has provided for XP issues but has given an approximate idea of “45 updates” has regarded it as an infected product between the time periods of July 2012 to July 2013.

Machines still running on Windows XP is going to make internet a dangerous place, because of their vulnerability to risk will invite hackers to attack them and through these infected machines the hacker will get an opportunity they will attack the valuable information of the customers all over the world.

According to security experts and analysts, there is good news that the latest editions of Windows are very secured and capable to handle all kind of risks and issues.
